“First Shot, Last Chance”

“First Shot, Last Chance”

Since I was a little kid,

I’ve always carried this dream,

This dream to become the best,

Floating so high above the rest,

I wanted everyone to feel my presence inside the court,

Just like what my pops said “Son, you’ve got to own the court”.

I remember my first shot,

I was running fast towards the hoop,

My teammate passed me the ball and said “shoot it!”

So I threw the ball up in the air, I watched it,

As the ball fell and makes its way through the hoop,

“Splash!”, I heard my dad shout while watching from the courtside.

Now if I haven’t taken that shot,

I would not have loved this sport,

Inside the court you shouldn’t have doubt,

You must do what you can,

Never hide what you got,

Because this might be the only chance you’ve got

So take every chance you’ll get and make it like it’s your last shot.

Pangarap na Pag-ibig

Pangarap na Pag-ibig

Di ko alam kung ano ‘tong nararamdaman

‘Pagkat ako mismo ang naguguluhan

Itong nararamdaman ko para sa iyo.

Masaya ako sa tuwing nakikita ka,

Umaasa na sana’y makasama ka,

Ninanais ko sana’y makausap ka,

Ngunit ako’y natatameme pagnandyan ka.

Pinapangarap na lamang kita,

Pangarap na maging tayong dalawa

Imposibleng ito’y magkatotoo

Baon-baon ko ang lakas ng loob

Para ipahayag sa iyo ng marubdob

Di ko inaasahan magkakaganito

Isang pangarap na nagkatotoo.

Pag-ibig na nga ba ito,

Tila langit ka’t lupa ako

El Polį¼°tica

Original Composition by Louis Daniel Plata

Isang bansang kulang sa bigas,

Sandamakmak ang mandurugas.

Lugar kung saan nsa impyerno ang mga tao,

Halika! Alamin natin ang pinagmulan nito.

Nagmula kay Aguinaldo hanggang kay Aquino,

Nagsimulang maghari ang mga korapt na pulitiko.

Perang sana’y sa mga tao,

Pork Barrel Scam sa Senado.

Isang bansang puno ng karahasan,

Digmaan sa kaliwa’t kanan.

Kahirapan ay laganap na,

Trabaho’y ‘sang kahig ‘sang tuka,

Tulong ng mga pulitiko, asan na?

Tayo na at bumangon,

Ating sugpuin ang korapsyon.

Pulitika ma’y magpahirap sa atin,

Balang araw, kalayaan ay makakamtan natin.

music

Music

Pop, rock, acoustic, senti or whatever genre

Local or foreign artists

Feelings and messages of a song

Can express your true emotions

For every line you sang

For every beat you made

For every string you pluck

For every sound you produce

It is music in all way

Music turns on your life

Music does not feel you

But you can feel the music inside you

Music can make you feel happy and sad

Music is the only thing that can make you dance and sing with passion

Like a magic

Life without music is boring

Life without music is so damn boring

I, myself, you, yourself can be a music

“The One and Only”

All of my friends are telling me
I’m lucky and free like a bee
Fortunate to seems but for me
It’s not as easy as what they see.

Being only daughter is so sad
It makes me feel crazy and so mad
To do the things asks by Mom and Dad
Irritated me because I’m odd.

Clean this; wash the dishes all I hear
Arrange those and these, Oh Mama Dear…
To obey is nice, to complain is rare
Just to let my parents feel... I’m here.

Yes! They love me full and they are proud
Gives all the best I need and must have
They teach me to live a simple life
No hatred but love which fills my heart.

But still I feel very lonely
To see my peers with big family
Displace the face of feeling envy…
Just take a deep breath, take it easy!

I wish I can play with a bro or a sis
It runs in my mind how happy I’ll be
But I also think – will we always agree
In everything we’ll share, will they be happy?

If I have a big family as I imagine
Can I study in this school and get all I need?
Maybe yes or maybe no but one thing is for sure
That my parents may be happy but very much pressure.

My parents decided to have me and two more
But God did not give them for us to nurture
Until now I’m alone still waiting like before
Holding a dream with the thoughts life is too good to feel bore.

Though I’m stating this sadness of my heart
The other side of it is a contentment part
To have responsible and loving parents is a jackpot
That God has given me to be grateful for all I’ve got.

Basilio

Basilio

Ako’y anak ng namayapang si Sisa
Nabuhay sa bayan na puno ng kaba.
Takot, pasakit ang aking naranasan
Sa mga taong aking pinagaalayan.

Laging sumasagi sa aking isipan
Nagsisisi kung bakit siya’y iniwan.
Kapatid kong sa kumbento ay humimlay,
Sa mga prayle na walang awang pumatay!

Habang tinatahak ko ang kadiliman
Na sa akin ay lugmok na kapaitan
Bumalik ang masakit na ala-ala
May unos ng nakita sa aking mata.

Oh!

Love Knows No Distance By Katrina D. Africa

Love Knows No Distance
By Katrina D. Africa

Love knows no distance
For a lover whose love is constant
Every second spent is important
For love do grabs all the chances.

As long as we breathe the same air
And living beneath the same Earth,
My heart is all settled
To this feeling I am here contented.

Those long distance calls
Means so much when I hear your voice
Our feelings does intersect
Wires, cables and power make us connect.

Travelling hours are longer
Time spent with you are shorter.
No words can convey this heart’s longing
To your arms I want to rest ‘til morning.
